Combined website followed by telehealth treatment: study  for adults with trichotillomania

We are currently seeking adults with hair pulling for a research study to see if a multi-phase online treatment for trichotillomania can help. You might be interested in this study if you are struggling with hair pulling.
 
Participation will involve:
  • Completing an initial online assessment and an interview via Zoom
  • Complete an eight-module treatment website followed by 6 sessions of telehealth-delivered individual therapy.
  • Completing 15 online assessments over the course of 18 weeks

In order to be eligible you must:
  • Be over 18 years old
  • Live in Utah
  • Have trichotillomania
  • Fluent in English
  • Not be currently seeing a therapist for trichotillomania
  • Interested in receiving treatment for trichotillomania
  • Not be changing or adding psychological medications

Please note that participation is completely up to you, and you can withdraw from the study at any time without penalty. You can receive up to $170 in Amazon gift cards for completing all surveys in the study. The total time commitment for the study is approximately 16 hours over 18 weeks.
