ACT Guide Lite User Testing

We are recruiting for a research study at USU that aims to test a new single-session mental health program called ACT Guide Lite. Participants will complete a brief screening survey and phone call, baseline survey, 2-hour testing session, and a brief follow-up survey one week later.

The 2-hour testing session will be conducted over a Zoom call with a test moderator, and consists of the following:
  • 5-minute introduction to session, explaining the test session procedures.
  • 10-minute background interview, discussing your past experiences with self-help and mental health treatment.
  • 70-minute testing session, in which you will use ACT Guide Lite while sharing your screen and verbalizing your impressions of the program out loud.
  • 30-minute post-interview, discussing your overall thoughts about the program.
  • 5-minute survey.

If you choose to participate, you will receive a $15 Amazon gift card after completing the 2-hour testing session, and another $5 Amazon gift card after completing the follow-up survey one week later.

In order to be eligible you must:
  • Be age 18 or older
  • Be able to speak English fluently
  • Be interested in using an online self-help program
  • Have not used ACT Guide before

This study takes place entirely online and does not require any face-to-face contact. For more information please click the link above or contact Korena Klimczak at k.klimczak@usu.edu.
